This page is intended for the benefit of Bob Benoit and his close friends and family.  They may offer contributions as they choose fit.  Details on this information will come soon along with more pictures.

The reason I have felt compelled to do this was driven by the love, loyalty, and caring attitude that I experience form the folks involved in putting this event together.  It is so deeply inspiring, when at a time in history where the future of mankind often looks so grim by the lack of caring by those in our society who having more care less for others, we still find beautiful examples of love and caring for our fellow men.

This event displayed such a high level of goodness and love.  There were tears, laughter, hugs, and a tremendous amount of greatly  talented musicians who came to exult our feelings, emotions, thoughts, wanders, hopes, dreams, with a spectrum of songs that transported us all somewhere.

During those hours I came to regain my hope in the good of humanity.  It is my believe after all that the only thing we will take with us when our time comes is the love we gave.

Special thanks to Chuck Dodson who brought this opportunity to give to my attention.  Thanks Chuck for the gift, my friend.

Even though Bob just had surgery only a couple of days before, he showed up and managed to participate from his medical cot while his family stayed by his side.

The following pictures are about Bob's  response to the support e got and the love he experienced.  A guitar was presented to him sighed by many of his friends.

CHUCK DODSON HAS SENT ME THE FOLLOWING E-MAIL WHICH I THINK IS PROPER TO BE SHARED WITH ALL SINCE IT IS ANOTHER ACCOUNT OF THE SPIRIT THAT HAS EMBRACED THIS STORY FROM THE START.

Dear Friends of Bob,

A big thank you to all of you who came out on Sunday, April 30th, to help raise some cash for the Benoit family. The music was great, the auction was great, the barbeque was great, the volunteers were great....everything was great, even the weather. I'm told by the money people that, after all the bills were paid, somewhere in neighborhood of $8500 was cleared, so that's not a bad gift to Bob and Kathy and the girls. The big surprise of the day happened when Bob himself showed up. It was the first time he'd been ANYWHERE except the hospital since his accident. The sound guys wired a mic for him so he could sit in the audience and sing along with his band through the mains. He had a great time. Anyhow, it's always nice to see folks come together when somebody needs help, and all of you definitely came together in a big way. I was glad to have been a small part of it, honored to have been there with each one of you.

Thanks again,

Chuck
