SPIRITUAL PORTRAITURE
Spiritual Portraiture is an effort I make to bring into the human visual realm the relationship of an individual with the inner world in which the essence of the subject dwells.
In this case Ernest Nipper is captured in mid sentence as he expresses to how he relates to the universe of his perception as an artist, thinker, and philosopher.
.
One of my haunting efforts in my work when it comes to portraiture, is to capture the invisible aspect of my subject. While knowing how to use the equipment and the media to the highest level possible in critical, it is so only as a controlling tool to arrive at an image that represents the part of the subject that remains on "the other side of light" a personally coined term that relates to the nature of the universe when considered as whole independently of the visual aspect of its infinite spectrums of energetic manifestations.
The subject bellow is that of a very dear friend of mine and a true inspiration to me and anyone who may be privileged enough to be in her presence. Dorothy Morris is a philanthropist, visionary, and caring being, I always experience an awesome sense of intensity of life being lived with total focus, love, and purpose when I am in her presence. Most of all I feel as if age and difficulty vanish from my mind, and infinite possibility becomes the playground of eternal and joyful youth of spirit.
It was in that context that I attempted this study which reflects my witnessed joy of her excitement during the process of the construction of her new home. If only ten percent of humanity was of the same general consciousness as she, this Earth would become a holly ground of joy and goodness for the whole planet.

In my planning for a grand opening of my work directly to the art aficionado clientele scheduled for later in the year, I am developing a title topic image for "The Golden Mirror" . within that context I am developing a self portrait. Below my friend Elliott served as model for me on what eventually will become a self portrait.
